Backstage Ham.

Glad the Wookie is back on a posting bender. Content as idea-laden as his is a good snack between PA posts. Sorry that The Sponge is done online, loved his muted F bomb post title.

Set up our humble Xmas lights. I suppose this is our last h4xmas in a tiny glorified room. Grass is greener I suppose, hearing stories of sink installations and mortgage responsibility. There’s a nice townhouse I jogged past tonight. Costs a svelt $710k. What do you think, 1st time buyer material? Or maybe exactly why I’m heading west.

Thanksgiving was fantastic. Lots to be thankful for, although I’m sure I’m not completely capable of such an immaculate self-awareness. Luckily the rabble of tasty rations had no problems clearing my mind to nothing but a satiated drone of whiring tryptophan. The volumes of vittles included:
- (1) 20lbs turkey in grill
- (1) Backstage ham, never used.
- (3) Different types of stuffing including oyster.
- The usual suspects: sweet potato casserole (brown sugar and marshmellows on top)
- Cranberry sauce
- Cranberry relish and all those sides
- (7) Pies. Most homemade. Like the one above.
- A tray of pumpkin bars made by El Wife-o™.
- A massive onslaught of snacks before the main dealy.
- A cooler of wine
- A cooler of beer that noone saw

It was a large crowd at 14 people, most fun I’ve had in as long as I can remember at Thanksgiving. I did my best to pipe up a toast and thank my parents for all the years that they’ve done these meals without fail and with amazing results. I feel in debit to destiny for what is not going to last forever. Eventually they’ll retire and move out of the area and get-togethers will be harder and most infrequent. But, I don’t live for the end of things and just want to learn how to cook as well as my father does to create a line of indestructive tradition.

Wow, ok. Wipe off the sobriety. For a while, I’ve avoided posting anything (at all, ha) about FFXII. I wanted to lay low and let the other reviews speak for themselves. Although I am dancing around the topic, I thought I’d snap a picture of the Bradley guide which includes a huge amount of source art on tasty glossy paper.

XII is fantastic, better than X. I’m not going to ruin it for anyone, I think Edgar had some fun with it but I know it’s not his cup of tea. Rich literally fell asleep during a summon animation. =^^=

how does one FALL ASLEEP during a summon (aside from knights of the round – that takes a while)?! It’s arguably the part of the game where even non-RPG fans pause their youTube parody and watch Ifrit rise from the gaping fiery hole in the earth, unfurl his wings and rain down red-hot suffering on whatever unfortunately overpowered foe you happened to run into.

Anyway – glad to see that pie cultivation is going strong in your bloodlines.

I didn’t know I was on a bender but I suppose given the lack of posts over the past 6 months any quantity would seem an onslaught.
