I agree with you Hic, it's a wait and see thing. But unfortunately, Gamer's Quarter has already seen and I haven't. The 360's release titles are meh, the PS2 was the same way. There's only a few gems.

Wookie: I never thought of a tank game but now I'd be totally up for a remake of Battlezone (the newer one, Battlezone2 -- which also was a remake). That game ruled and it had independent aiming with the turret (really strafing ala standard FPSs). Was cool.

I think given the gyro function they could have come up with something more imaginative - like tilting it in any direction would cause movement that way - but I ask a lot.

It's not THAT bad. Having played lots of console FPS's I may be biased but it's not any worse than your typical PS2 or Xbox dual-joystick controls.

I will say though that I would have reversed it - the d-pad makes a much more natural WASD and the gyro control and trigger in the right hand would be a lot more like 'pointing a gun'.

I can't wait for a tank game with a special 2-nunchuk controller with rotation and stuff.

Yuck. I wonder if adding better movement controls is something that Ubisoft was more worried about post-E3. I mean, you got to admit: Demoing a game at E3 *usually is only about what the game looks like. Usually is given an astrisk because this year, demoing a Wii game had more to do with the way you played it rather than what it looked like. If you think about it, as long as they've got a good story and a good look, they can change the way you control it to be more complex...maybe.
