l337 show

I need to check this IPTV show out. It’s a hacking drama show based out of Richmond.

Horrible. This review deserves fewer words.

Never seen it but when a person makes a drama or comedy or any other kind of show/movie/short film/etc about the computer genre one of two things happen;

1) They make the movie/show/etc to entertain and ignore facts which then turnws the show into a techno-babbling mockery of “24″ proportions. I’ve read the reason they don’t use nearly as much techno-speak in that show is because last season they got thousands of hate mails condemning the use of “they hacked in through the AC power”.

2) You create a technically sound and factual accurate show which becomes completely boring and uninteresting to even the geeks who they are aiming to please. Who wants to watch a show about what we do every day (“There’s a virus crisis out what do we do?” “Push virus def updates from Norton” “YES – DO IT _ QUICK!” {tense music while he francticly clicks the mouse} “Done” “Phew” {58 minutes of filler})

Of course there are exceptions when the movie is based on actual events (more documentary than anything else a la “pirates of Silicon Valley”) and we all knwo that all bets are off when there’s a hot/cute chick in the movie. That’s why nobody bashes “the Net”. At the time Sandra Bullock was nice looking. 2 “Miss Congenialitys” and a “Speed 2″ later not so much.

Do you think doctors go home and TiVo every episode of House? Doubtful. Don’t be a stereotype.
