WoW – Orc Warrior
The WoW expansion is being previewed at Blizzcon next month (November) from what I’m reading online. Many new features are rumored to be included. Notable new things, in my view, are real-time weather, a completely new continent and a possible level bump (not likely IMHO).
Before the expansion, I expanded myself by creating an Orc Warrior, named Okc. It’s been fun so far, got to level 10 last night doing all the little noob quests and grinding pretty quickly. Warrior is a common class in lots of people’s minds (just hack and slash) and I personally didn’t think much of knuckle dragging tanks. But after playing a Warrior for a while I see that there is some art to it.
I enjoy the small and new details of starting something new. For example, when I a running with mail on, I hear a small and quiet ‘shink shink’ sound of shuffling mail armor. A small auditory detail that my other non-mail wearing classes didn’t have. Not that being Warrior is just having a quiet sound play while you run, I’ve found that weapons and items are much more important to the Warrior.
I’m specializing in Arms, so axes and swords are my friends now. No casting, no mana to worry about. Shiny metal and shiny items. It’s a fun change from all my casting and healing types. Axes of metal.

Rit, my warlock is still progressing slowly. I accidently mailed a bunch of crap to a person named Ock on Earthen Ring (note Okc vs Ock). I was severely pissed. I hope Ock is honest and clicks the ‘return’ button, otherwise I’ll be out a couple of much needed 6-slot bags, some materials (2g worth) and other things I was counting on. *argh!*
I deleted some characters. One on Frostmane that I wasn’t playing (Dwarf Priest) and a Human Paladin. Didn’t really appeal to me I guess. My troll rogue is sort of boring too (IMHO), he might be the next to go.
Rit recently made some engineering goggles which I think are hilarious. Looks like he’s about to pilot a baloon or something.
Hallow’s End
The Halloween event is going on and it’s quite fun to see bats in the sky, pumpkins in the cities and get free apples from apple bobbing. The costumes are great and everyone seems to be having a lot of fun with it. I haven’t seen the event outside of the Undercity yet, very appropriate … Undead and Halloween.
Got a little Dwarf mask (pictured) for Okc.
