Obsidian Elementals are a bitch.
I know this won’t make any sense to anyone who doesn’t play WoW…
I ventured into Burning Steppes, an area I feared at lower levels. It was great returning as a mighty (har) level 45 druid. I met a 51 Obsidian Elemental that I decided to attack. See in WoW, you usually stick to levels +2 or -2. So I’d only attack a 47 at the highest, maybe a 48 if I wanted to take a risk.

But since I was being all dramatic, walking up to the area that I hated as a lowbie, I decided to take a chance, use all those items I had laying around. Come on, it’s only a game.
So I proceeded to fight this thing for 13minutes 8 seconds. A record for me by a long shot. I just did all my usual Druid tricks. Heal over time, change to bear form, outlast your enemy. That’s the trick.
Well. It went on forever. For those who don’t play WoW, a major boss fight might take 4 minutes. This is some stupid floating rock that is just plainly above my level.

Look at the damage table. I took 32,880 points (my HP is 2900). I healed myself 11x over. Amazing.
It was finally dead. Little bits of rock around.
