Had lots of fun this weekend getting through most of River City Ransom EX (a remake of the NES classic). I got very rich by beating up the ‘entree’ gang and setting the number of enemies to 20. After I got that *acro circus* move, all challenge was gone. ^^

Here’s a shot of that secret room in the tunnel. Made lots of money off the lotto tix. The emulator allows save/load states so it completely killed the fun of the lotto. And that’s what it is all about. Killing fun until it’s dead.

I also stopped by the Apple store to pick up another AC adapter for my powerbook (convenience of having two). There, on the counter, was the most beautiful screen I’ve ever seen. The new 30″ cinema display. It was absolutely massive. I can’t stop telling people about it.

I could easily fit three browser windows side by side. Sick. 2560×1600 resolution. It’s like a sea of pixels. From far away, it just looks like a big plasma screen. Up close, you feel lost in a GUI environment. I can’t wait until technology like this is actually affordable for the general public.
